Winter Park #6 Mountain Circuit Race Report

I got second!! (to last)

Ohhh well. What can I say it was not a great race for me today. Of course I have lots of excuses, but in the end none of them would up added up to much. I just did not have good legs today, was sucking wind the whole time and not going anywhere. Pedaling squares as it were. However, I did not have any crashes, and it was a fun ride other wise.

This was the first time I raced the Ex9.5 this year too. It really made a difference on the downhills, and I am glad I had it for all of the roots we had to pedal through.

Next weekend is the King of the Rockies, and the last race in the series. I really hope I can make a good showing in this final race.

In other team news:

Nicolette got first in Sport women with a lame wrist, Marni finished third with her first podium of the year, and Chris rolled in for 5th place in the expert group. Of course Chris handicapped himself with his rigid 26" low geared Redline. Bill H. Also made a good showing, with a rented squishy due to a crack in is Yeti. (29er bill, get the 29er)
